The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Matt Blake for State Senate District 22 in the upcoming election to be held on November 5, 2024. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Matt Blake is a graduate of Drake University Law School and currently resides in Urbandale with his wife and 2 children. He is a Major and serves as a Judge Advocate in the Iowa Army National Guard.

Matt was elected to the Urbandale City Council in 2019 and served through 2023. He supports strong public schools and opposes book bans and school choice vouchers. Matt will be a strong voice for women’s rights and reproductive healthcare. Mr. Blake has been a tireless advocate for Iowa’s natural resources, particularly providing clean water.
