The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of John Dabeet for State Senate District 48 in the upcoming election to be held on November 5, 2024. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

John Dabeet is a Distinguished Professor of Economics and Statistics at Muscatine Community College and chairs the business department. He is serving his third term on the Board of the Muscatine Community School District where he is the current president.

Mr. Dabeet is also the president of Muscatine Sister Cities, Inc and represents Iowa on the board of Sister Cities International. He is an advocate for strong public schools, reproductive rights, economic development and strengthening mental health services across the state.
