The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Elijah Stines for re-election as Boone Mayor in the upcoming election to be held on November 5, 2025. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.
 
Mr. Stines is currently serving his first term as Mayor of Boone after serving 2 terms on the Boone City Council representing Ward 3. He is a professor of mathematics at Iowa State University. Under his leadership, the city has been able to attain many grants to improve the standard of living in Boone and there are plans to continue improvements across the city including business opportunities, increasing the availability of affordable housing and improving sustainability through the use of solar energy. The Coalition believes Mayor Stines has demonstrated a commitment to making Boone a better place by increasing citizen access, voice and involvement as he works to make Boone a great place to live.
