The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Joe Zahorik for Iowa Senate District 39 in the upcoming primary election to be held on June 7, 2022. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Mr. Zahorik has been with the Ironworkers union for 17 years; starting off as an apprentice, working his way through the ranks and leadership roles within his local union, to eventually become the political director for Ironworkers Local 89. He has also worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Mr. Zahorik has been endorsed by the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO and the Hawkeye Labor Council. Joe spent his career working to turn out working class voters to cast ballots for Democrats. Now he wants to represent the voters of Iowa Senate District 39.
