Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Claire Celsi for Re-Election to Iowa Senate District 16

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce our endorsement of Claire Celsi for re-election to Iowa Senate District 16 in the upcoming Democratic primary election to be held on June 4, 2024. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Senator Celsi is currently serving her second term in the Iowa State Senate.  She serves on the Children's Behavioral Health System State Board and the Family Development and Self Sufficiency Board. Claire is a small business owner and community volunteer. She helped activate Iowans for Public Education, a group that supports public schools and is a founding member of the Iowa Unity Coalition. Ms. Celsi has a background in journalism and has taught at Drake University.

Claire Celsi has been a tireless leader for schools and families in the state senate. She has been an advocate for Iowa workers, better water quality and improving Iowa’s mental health system. The Coalition is proud to have her as a member and strongly supports her re-election.
