Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Larry McBurney for Iowa House District 44

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce our endorsement of Larry McBurney for Iowa House District 44 in the upcoming Democratic primary election to be held on June 4, 2024. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Mr. McBurney currently serves on the Urbandale City Council and previously served on the Urbandale Civil Rights Commission for 2 years. He also represents Urbandale on the Bravo Greater Des Moines board. Larry served 11 years in the Iowa Air National Guard and was deployed overseas for three tours of duty. Mr. McBurney is a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Larry is the Executive Director of the Filipino American Society of Iowa.

We believe Larry McBurney is the best candidate to build community relationships and will work to ensure underrepresented groups have a voice. He will fight for our public schools, a woman’s reproductive rights and clean energy. Larry believes everyone in Iowa should have a chance to fulfill their dreams.
