The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Jackie Norris for re-election to the Des Moines School Board At-Large in the upcoming election to be held on November 4, 2025. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Jackie Norris is the current chair of the Des Moines School Board and is in her first term. She is a non-profit leader, small business owner of the Horizon Group and mother of 3 who cares deeply about the community. She is a former high school teacher and worked as chief of staff for First Lady, Michelle Obama. Her extensive background as a community leader and educator enables her to build strong relationships between the district and community. She has proven herself to be a true representative of the people in Des Moines.

The Iowa Unity Coalition believes Ms. Norris deserves re-election to the Des Moines School Board. Her experience and leadership have been invaluable to all stakeholders and we know she will continue to move the district forward in a way that benefits our students.
