The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Sami Scheetz for Iowa House District 78 in the upcoming Democratic primary election to be held on June 7, 2022. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Sami is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and has been active in many roles in the community. His experience includes constituency outreach with unrepresentative groups.  If elected, he will be the first Arab-American to serve in the Iowa Legislature. Sami promises to promote increased diversity in state politics and government. His priorities include education, health care, and worker’s rights.
