Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Jason Benell for Des Moines City Council, Ward 4

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Jason Benell for Des Moines City Council Ward 4 in the upcoming election to be held on November 7, 2023. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Jason Benell lives in Ward 4 on the south side of Des Moines with his wife and two children. He is on the board and is the treasurer of Hispanic Educational Resources and volunteers as a coach with the Des Moines Soccer Club. Mr. Benell is a combat veteran who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the distinguished Combat Action Badge.

He supports affordable housing and community relief efforts. Jason is committed to promoting policies that protect the rights of all Des Moines residents and move the city forward.
