The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Nia Wilder for Waterloo City Council Ward 3 in the upcoming election to be held on November 2, 2021. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.

Nia Wilder owns a multimedia company in Waterloo and is a lifelong resident. She has been active in the Waterloo Police Advisory Board, Black Voices Collective and the North End Music and Arts Board of Directors. Ms. Wilder is committed to amplifying the voices of those who have not been heard in order to empower residents and ensure equality. Additionally, she is supportive of neighborhood community policing. The Coalition believes she will be an advocate for celebrating cultural diversity as a way to grow the community.
