Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Jon Green for Johnson County Supervisor

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Jon Green for Johnson County Supervisor in the upcoming primary election to be held on June 7, 2022. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.


Supervisor Jon Green is running for re-election to the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, seeking his first full term on the five-member board. Green was elected last June in a special election to fill the seat vacated by former supervisor Janelle Retti. He also served as Lone Tree mayor from 2018 to 2019. Jon attended both the University of Iowa and Morningside College in Sioux City, earning a BA in journalism from Morningside in 2007. In 2009, when Jon was a newspaper reporter in Wyoming, the Democratic Governor, Dave Freudenthal, hired him as his press secretary.
