Iowa Unity Coalition Endorses Shelly Northway for Ankeny School Board

The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Shelly Northway for Ankeny School Board in the upcoming election to be held on November 7, 2023. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.
 
Ms. Northway is the mother of 4 children who attended Ankeny Schools. She helped create Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS), a program that connects passionate volunteers with the students and faculty that need them. Shelly is committed to improving schools in the areas of safety, diversity and equity and believes when teachers do well, students do well. She will work to attract and retain the best teachers in order to allow students to reach their true potential.
