The Iowa Unity Coalition is pleased to announce the endorsement of Armel Traore dit Nignan for Waukee School Board in the upcoming election to be held on November 2, 2021. The Iowa Unity Coalition is dedicated to building political power within our diverse and underrepresented communities at every level of government.
 
Armel is a proud immigrant from Burkina Faso in West Africa. He has been active in the Waukee School District, working on many projects that benefit students. He also serves on the board of CultureALL and is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. The Coalition believes his experience in the district will be of great benefit and his background as an immigrant and person of color will help move the district forward in equity and diversity issues.
